Trauma Therapy | EMDR | Couples, Child & Family Therapy
You don’t want to feel this way anymore— but you don’t know what will actually change it.
Therapy here feels different
Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to begin. You may have tried therapy before and felt unheard, unsupported, or unsure how real change actually happens.
Our approach is active, thoughtful, and deeply attuned. We don’t just listen — we help you understand what’s happening beneath the surface, make sense of long-standing patterns, and move toward meaningful change in a way that feels steady and supportive.
You don’t have to hold everything together here.

Meet Katie Zimmermann
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
I know this can be a tough process (finding a stranger you think you might trust to open up with). I am naturally the most comfortable and happy in trusting, open/SUPER-honest, non-judgmental relationships where we assume we are safe to be human with each other. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master's degree in Psychology from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. I specialize in helping individuals recover from trauma and couples regain safe and loving connections with the support of additional training in E.M.D.R. (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy), E.F.C.T. (Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy), and The Gottman Method for Couples.
How we can help
Specialized, trauma-informed therapy tailored to where you are and what you’re facing.
“We felt hopeful almost immediately. Having a therapist who is engaged, direct, and genuinely invested — while also holding us accountable — helped us understand what was happening between us and start changing it together.”
“We were surprised to find child EMDR available in our county. It felt like finally having access to the right kind of support for our child.”
Grounded, compassionate, and effective care
Our work is rooted in trauma science, attachment theory, and nervous system regulation. Therapy is paced carefully and collaboratively, helping you feel supported rather than overwhelmed.
We focus on understanding why patterns exist and how to shift them gently and effectively — so change feels possible, not forced.
